Rezumat

The diverse reception of ethnofolkloric constituents by writers has generated a multitude of ways to recontextualize popular creation in the fabric of literary works, resonating in a range of tones. Referring to the junimist writers, we will find an interest in collecting, researching and processing ethnofolkloric constants until a major focus on their absorption in literary works. The poet Mihai Eminescu not only collected and studied the folk heritage of the people, but also processed it to a total assimilation, sublimation of it. The original achievements obtained demonstrate the creative capacity of folklore to reshape literature, and the aesthetic transfiguration of ethnofolkloric constituents contributed to the universalization of Romanian spirituality. The continuous infusion also generated the variation of the popular creation, the latter enriching or polishing its forms. Creanga's closeness to the popular ethos generated a perfection of the cult fairy tale. George Călinescu comparing the two writer-friends would emphasize the genius of both, stating that while Mihai Eminescu starts from the millennial culture of his people, Ion Creangă assumes it, assimilating the millennial universal culture.
