Rezumat

In 2010–2012 we conducted archaeological surveys on the course of Ichel, from the Peresecina valley mouth upwards to the mouth of the Tochile valley, on the estates of the villages Zamciogi, Rădeni and Drăgușeni, Strășeni district. Following the investigations, 21 new archaeological sites were documented, among which five with a Moldovan habitat level, preliminary dated from the XVIth–XVIIIth centuries. The earliest mention of the presence of a Moldovan population in this area is in the royal book of Alexander the Good from 1431, which mentions apiaries on Lopatna and Ichel. Natural factors make us correlate the Ichel apiary with the site of the Borzești Valley, possibly one Beliești village, mentioned in 1522, but which already existed during the voivodes Ilias and Stefan, not later than 1436. In search of the village with an apiary on Lopatna we took as reference the present village Pocșești, probably the village Gura Lopătnii bought in 1500 by Duma Pocșescu from the descendants of Mihăilă Oțăl. The field research allowed documenting an extensive site, with materials dated in the XVth century, on the southeast edge of the village. It is the same place of Oțăl from the voivodes Ilias’ and Stefan’s act from 1436 with the apiary mentioned in 1431.
