Due to the family environment in which he develops, as well as an elevated talent of writer, Hasdeu, manages to enrich the modern Romanian literature with valuable works. His works are typified by characters and different situations, many of his characters being female characters, characters which Hasdeu each time endows with an individual and objective value of their own. Taking an overview of Hasdeu’s works, we discover various typologies of female characters: starting with a woman who was under the male influence and was meant to give birth to children, to a woman who was strong, despaired, determined, greedy, even powerful and magnificent. All these typologies of women manage to complete the world of men who abound the Hasdean literary works.
