Rezumat

Intercultural competence represents a key factor for efficient interaction and quality coexistence of members who culturally differ. In countries which are ethnically diverse, it is important to develop intercultural competence among people in order to develop harmonious social relations. This article seeks to address this topic of growing interest to many audiences in all the regions of the world, intercultural competence. We will present some activities focused on promoting the intercultural competence at the English language classes. Promoting intercultural competence represents a challenge for educators and learners alike, as its fulfilment empowers exciting possibilities. Finally, some recommendations for teachers on how to proceed in a language and intercultural classroom in order to have a positive learning environment will be mentioned.
