The creation of the computer as an electronic computing machine which works with information is a new stage of the modelling of life. The concept of artificial intelligence is created as based on the model of the control system through feedback, which demonstrates the ability to auto-correction. Automation of systems of artificial intelligence allows after W. R. Ashby to call such systems self-organizing. But already L. von Bertalanfi points to the imperfection of this approach. Artificial intelligence works as a" Chinese room", receiving the same data and algorithm at the input and giving the processed data at the output. From input to output, such system works automatically, the output information again enters the input according to the given algorithm, so that auto-correction occurs. Such a machine is self-organizing only when it is connected with the other machine that produces an algorithm for first machine. That is, ultimately, with a human. We can say that what is meant by artificial intelligence can complement the human brain, as a shovel complements the muscles of the hands. Such a system would not be self-organizing in direct sense of this word. It is not like a living system, "self-organizing by progressive differentiation and evolving from a simple state to a high state of complexity". Continuing the line from Bertalanfi, it turns out that artificial intelligence is system open to information, but closed to entropy. That is, the emphasis on control and information ignores the "materiality" and "energy" of the links between biological objects. Cells and organisms exchange not only signals, but also matter, products of their activity. This is the essential property of self – organization of open systems – existence in the flow of energy and matter. Thus, the later concept of the "molecular machine" does not ignore the energy of connections, introducing in its definition of a self-organizing machine the production of useful work. Artificial intelligence reproduces this only partially. It is representative that the biological substrate of artificial intelligence is the brain as a control element in the body, but not the whole body. Thus, artificial intelligence cannot be independent self-organizing system. It reproduces only the informational, control aspects of the living entity, but not the living entity as a whole, focusing only on the exchange of information, ignoring the exchange of substance and energy.
