Rezumat

Communication is the defining element of the human condition and, that’s why, over time, researchers have tried to understand the mysteries of successful communication, to apply methods and techniques to achieve interpersonal communication at the highest standards. In this paper we present some of these elements specific to the communication process and we analyze two essential types of communication: monocultural and cosmopolite communication. As introduction to the theme of the paper, I presented the discovery of communication in the 20th century, its new interpretations, but above all, the communication or coordination dilemma for machines or computers. The four types of communication are listed, but our focus has been on two of them, in particular. Thus, it is defined the, monocultural communication and its specific features are analyzed: interaction with others, as if they were part of the same culture (as natives), value judgments being influenced by their own beliefs by a certain social, contextual logic etc.; contextual and prefigurative forces represent the most powerful aspects of the logic of meaning and action in monocultural communication. It is also analyzed, the cosmopolite communication and its constitutive elements are described. Cosmopolite communication is specific to the modern age in which we live, being influenced by the speed of individuals traveling in space, as well as by the speed of information transfer. As a result, intercultural, cosmopolite interference becomes an increasingly common aspect of human personality as well as state economies, philosophies, or state ideologies. Cosmopolite communication becomes a symbol of the current stage of human development.
