In foreign language teaching, the development of communicative competence is a major objective. To achieve this goal, it is important for the teacher to have certain capabilities to address the difficulties that may arise in the teaching-learning process. These difficulties are barriers to the removal of which certain methods should be used, namely the interactive methods. The use of these methods involves learning through communication, producing a confrontation of ideas, opinions, and arguments, creating learning situations centered on the willingness of the student to cooperate, and giving obvious results by transforming the student into the master of his own training.

În predarea limbilor străine, dezvoltarea competenței de comunicare reprezintă un obiectiv major. În realizarea acestuia, este important ca profesorul să posede anumite capacități, pentru a putea înfrunta dificultățile care pot apărea în procesul de predare-învățare. Acestea reprezintă niște bariere pentru evitarea cărora este necesară utilizarea anumitor metode, iar dintre cele mai eficiente sunt cele interactive. Folosirea acestor metode implică învățarea prin comunicare, producând o confruntare de idei, de opinii și de argumente, prin crearea de situații de învățare centrate pe dorința elevului de a coopera, astfel încât elevul poate fi transformat în stăpânul propriei formări, oferind rezultate evidente.
