Due to the profound changes that have occurred in Europe since the 1990s, social changes, economic crises, decline of the number of active population and aging of workforce it was established the phenomenon of increasing of the number of persons with disabilities and incomplete working capacity – most of them suffering from chronic diseases. In search of possible solutions in EU countries the accent was transferred to assets such integration or re-integration into the labor world, that became paramount. In Hungary, the Labour Protection Act, the Law XCIII since 1993 indicates that all employers are obliged to provide occupational health services for all their employees. The means on which the physician can based: risk assessment, examination of the capacity for work, health promotion at working place, care of patients with chronic diseases and their rehabilitation offers the chance of preserving of working capacity of employees with chronic diseases. The measures taken in this respect can not be considered only as a charitable act, rather a complex activity in the interest of employers, employees and society. |
