The folkloristic activity of Tatiana Galusca took place in hard and unfavorable circumstances for scientific work. The main place in her life, as in lives of other folklore researches, took the teaching activity. Daily work with students convinced her that the nation’s cultural heritage is a fertile soil for the process of teaching of young generation. Promoting the values of national culture, she approached to crystalline springs and inexhaustible treasury of ethno folklore. Folklore is a live document of image and knowledge of motherland that help us learn the conscience of nation. The collection and valorizing of folk materials became a passion for whole her life. The research activity of Professor Tatiana Galusca embraced many forms of folklore communication: written texts and oral behaviors, rituals. Folklore involves values, traditions, and ways of thinking and behavior of nation. Tatiana Galusca was tightly connected to history, traditions and folklore of Bessarabia that was for her a source of life and inspiration - fact which helps us understand better this distinguished and generous researcher with a great impact in study of authentic folklore. |
