The content of the article focuses on analyzing changes in understanding social cohesion as a critical resource in times of crisis. People respond to a common threat by mutual support. The global health crisis has revealed that people have demonstrated various reactions in different societies. The synthesis of the specialized literature reveals the interest in understanding social cohesion and how it can contribute to the increase in postpandemic resilience. Social cohesion becomes an important resource for sustainable and fair planning, being appreciated as a promising fi eld of research in the future. The concept of social cohesion is approached both in the works of authors, directing the evolutionary trends in the fi eld as well as in the perspective documents of international organizations. At the same time, the methodologies for measuring social cohesion, new instruments and techniques are developed in explaining their correlations. |
