Rezumat | ||||||
Poet in his fundamental vocation, with an impressive lyrical creation, materialised in about thirty volumes of verse edited over half a century of creative activity, the late Nicolae Dabija carved in Romanian literature a vast poetic path, fed by several major themes. They constantly converge around several whirling lyrical centers such as the religion of Poetry, erotic mysticism, the messianism of the National Renaissance in Bessarabia and last but not least - the idea of Providence. In order to expose more clearly the aspects of the investigation of the metaphysical universe in Nicolae Dabija’s poetry, we considered it necessary to dissociate between the inspiration from national mythology, from the inspiration from the ancestral religion, the Christian – Orthodox one. As a large part of Nicolae Dabija’s poetic creation from the period before 1990 – when, in Soviet Moldova, it was not possible to publish creations with Christian connotations – lyrically transfigures events and characters from mythology, which is, in fact, also a component of religion ... On such poems - having as theme not only the four fundamental myths of the Romanians, identified by G. Călinescu, but also mythical heroes of the nation’s prehistory, such as Zamolxe or Orpheus – we will focus in the following pages. |
