Călimănești village, Puiești commune, Vaslui county, with a first documentary attestation from July 30, 1439 and with brief references in a very useful bibliographic repertoire for researchers, is the subject approached or reviewed by Vaslui intellectuals: ethnographers, museographers, teachers, engineers and journalists, who value the collections of published documents, without using the impressive collection of original documents from the National Archives. The document from 1611 and the ones that follow it, especially the ones from the 18th century, are important for the researcher in terms of the genealogical information they provide, being related to the law of the land. We can see a form of manifestation of genealogical consciousness related to the cup-bearer Buculeaiu, his brothers, children and grandchildren, also present in the early nineteenth century. The deeds of sale, donation and redemption, respectively the application of the pre-emption right, prove the descent from the old master Buculeaiu over two centuries.
