Rezumat | ||||||
At the beginning of international trade development, the term "traffic" was a common one meaning goods such as drugs, weapons and even human beings for sale as slaves. In the last century it was associated with prostitution and sexual exploitation and was regulated as an illegal activity. Nowadays, traffic with human beings is steadily increasing, as the medical industry, in addition to improving the transplantation procedures, which are recognized as effective treatment methods, allows human organs to be harvested and distributed everywhere in the world. In this context, the aim is to recruit people from poorly developed countries and with limited access to information but biologically healthy. It is alarming that in the Republic of Moldova the phenomenon of "organ trafficking" is supported by government policies and high-level officials who want to get rich from illegal activities on the black market. |
