Rezumat

The structure of downy oak forests (Quercus pubescens Willd.) according to tree height has been highlighted in this article. The structure of forest stands in relation to the total height of the trees is described by the specific distribution with asymmetry to the right, which has ecological explanation and indicates that trees, competing for light, tend to grow taller, but thinner. We have concluded that downy oak stands are characterized by relative ecological stability, suggesting that a state of normality could be reached as a result of applying appropriate silvicultural interventions.
