This paper presents aspects of virtual textile surface simulation. Simulation behavior of the textile material in various aspects, as products for interior decoration (curtains, tablecloths) or as a product of outerwear, involves textile surface 3D modeling using CAD software. For simulation is used finite element analysis (FEM). Finite element analysis involves a meshing on textile material in triangular surface meshes and a determining loading conditions. For virtual modeling it must be known parameters like length, width, thickness and mass density of the textile surface. Simulation in virtual environment involves the knowledge of internal and external forces that act on the textile material and analyze the tensions and strains that may occur in collision with a rigid body.Virtual simulation helps to the analyze prototypes that will be made from textile material and quickly find the best prototypes. The advantage of simulation in virtual environment is offering new alternatives in product design. |
