Tuberculosis represents one of 10 causes of premature death worldwide. Socioeconomical crisis, malnutrition, overcrowding, shorteness in financing of public health programmes, decreasing of support measures of socio-vulnerable groups and epidemic exten- sion of MDR-TB patients contributes in the actuality of reaserch studies of predicitve assessment of risk factors of premature death of tuberculosis patients. The aim of the study was the comparative assessment of risk for death and treatment succes of 111 pulmonary tuberculosis patients, distributed in one group of 22 new pulmonary tuberculosis patients died in the period 1.01.2016 - 31.12.2016 and the second group of 89 patients which succesfuly finished the treatment. It was established that death due to tuebrculosis occured more frequently in man, patients with more than 45 years old, with socio-economical vulnerable state, low educational degree, civil solitar. Hig risk groups were low represented. At the autopsy it was identified extensive processes, bilatelally localized, with mul- tiple complications. It was established that the ma}or risk factors for death were: low level of education, poverty, unemployement, chronic or alcohol abuse, active smoking, poverty, extensive and complicated tuberculous process. |
