Meteorology is the science that deals with studying the properties and phenomena occurring in the atmosphere. The history of meteorological observations experienced several periods of development, which have been characterized by some specific features. Herein are presented the stages of observation and investigation of meteorological elements in different regions of the globe, over historical time. Here are also indicated the main directions of research and the peoples of the world who have studied these phenomena. |
