Lighting the dance on the stage The first role of light is the possibility to see what happens on the stage. Then it helps the choreographer to fulfil his design of spectacular creation. The person responsible for lighting has to make great effort in order to use light correctly to the dancer’s advantage so that the spectator should not notice it. The most important thing is the collaboration between the technical part and the artistic aspect of the performance. Each move, scenary, space, talk could be lighted in different ways depending on the sensitivity of the lightener and the agreement between the choreographer and lightener. |
