The article is devoted to the symbol as a linguistic unit in the performance structure representing the expressive potentialities of the stage maker. From the semiologic version dramatic art equates with the Primary Sign System and is defined as a Language but performing art equates with the Secondary Sign System and is defined as a Myth, that is a more difficult linguistic structure where the signs in the process of symbolization acquire new significance of Symbol. In this way symbolical language of performing art equates with metalanguage. |
