Endometrial hyperplasia is the most common disease of the female genital tract. Traditionally, it is thought that endometrial hyperplasia occurs as a result of a dysfunction in the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian system. It is clear now that the development of endometrial hyperplasia cannot be solely explained by variations in gonadotropin and sex steroid rhythms. The basis of the immune system is to detect and eliminate foreign antigens and control the proliferation of cell differentiation. Natural killer cells are considered the main regulators associated with endometrial proliferation, and are treated as immunocompetent cells responsible for the immune and reproductive maintenance of pregnancy.
Key words: hyperplasia, endometrial, neopterin. |
