Rezumat

In Bukovina cadastre works had been carried out during 1854-1856. For all the 319 villages in Bukovina were developed then boards and cadastral maps. Based on these documentary sources we can very accurately determine the socio-economic development of localities of Bucovina. The the largest share of forest was in southwestern Bukovina, while the arable land were concentrating in the plains, in the north and eastern of the province. The largest land parcels were in the mountainous area of Bucovina, the lowest - in the northeast of the territory. Dominical property (Church and Cameral Fund parcels, the ones of the great private owners and soldiers) represented 62.1% and rustic property (peasant, communes, parishes plots) - 37.9% of the total land area.
