Rezumat

Sec. Society XXI is one dominated by mass media, which has established itself as an essential component of the modern world and is permanently manifested as an active actor in the social game, shaping the other subsystems of society - political, economic, cultural, etc. The mass media in modern society is, in addition to a means of information, "a factor of education". Mass communication is part of the multiple dimensions of the socio-cultural context in which children grow and develop. They devote a lot of time to the consumption of media messages, especially audio-visual ones, which have numerous influences - immediate or latent, direct or indirect, predictable or unpredictable - on the development of their personality in the full process of formation. And the purpose of Public Libraries is to cultivate the critical thinking of our readers. Media education at the library, due to the fact that it is based on non-formal training and various fun teaching-learning methods, gathers more and more users around it.
