About the water fowl on the Nistru river between Unguri and Iarova villages in the spring of 2004. Since 1986, after completing the construction of the Novodnestrovsk Dam, the number and diversity of water fowl and other animals and
plants in the Middle Nistru River have significantly increased. About 5445 individuals of 12 water fowl species were observed during the spring of 2004. It is proposed to
give this area a status of special protected territory. |
