The insurance industry serves a critical role in offering financial protection and risk mitigation to individuals, businesses, and governments. A well-functioning insurance market ensures that risks are shared among a large pool of policyholders, which promotes economic stability and lessens the impact of financial shocks. Based on the evaluation conducted for the years 2016 to 2020, it was found that insurance companies had revised their asset allocation strategies by increasing investments in eligible assets such as state securities and deposits that represent technical reserves and minimum solvency margins. Moreover, the technical reserves for general insurance were maintained in line with the best practices, as evidenced by the results of market adequacy tests. We will analyse the insurance market from the last years 2019-2022. Therefore it’s important to study the insurance market and the problems that it faces, to better understand it’s influence on the economic growth of the country.
