Rezumat

Breast cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer in women, and in some cases it can also affect men. It starts in breast cells and may or may not be aggressive, depending on the malignancy of the cancer cells. The exact causes of breast cancer are still unknown, but there are certain risk factors that can increase the chances of developing this condition. These risk factors include age, family history of breast cancer, exposure to certain environmental factors, lifestyle, and some genetic abnormalities. Symptoms of breast cancer may include lumps, or a painful mass in the breast or under the arm, changes in the shape or size of the breasts, nipple discharge or retraction, pain or burning in or around the breast. Diagnosing breast cancer usually involves a combination of investigations, such as mammography, ultrasound or biopsy. Treatment depends on the stage of the cancer and may include a combination of surgery, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, or chemotherapy. Early detection of breast cancer is essential for successful treatment and improving the chances of survival. It is important for women to examine their breasts regularly and see a doctor for medical evaluation and investigations if there are symptoms or a family history of breast cancer.
