Rezumat

Through personal development, very important transversal and professional skills can be developed from an early age, until from the primary cycle and even pre-primary. Transversal competences involve skills and knowledge that are relevant across a wide range of occupations and fields of activity, such as effective communication, teamwork, problem solving and critical thinking. Trough personal development, a person can expand their knowledge and develop new skills that enable them to better perform their specific tasks and responsibilities. There are several ways in which personal development can contribute to the development of transversal and professional competences: self-reflection, continuous learning, learning experiences, improving communication skills. Personal development can encourage self-reflection and self-evaluation, which can lead to a deeper understanding of one’s own abilities and gaps. Trying new things or making difficult decisions can help develop transversal skills such as critical thinking or decision making. Also, personal development can help improve communication skills, which are essential in social relationships but also in the learning process, generally in a wide variety of fields of activity.
