Rezumat

The porous carbon nanotubes (CNTs) implying SBA-15 as template and glycerol as carbon source were prepared. The synthesized material is made up of rod/pipe-like particles and consists of two phases as amorphous and crystalline. It is shown that the average pore sizes are ranging from 3 nm to 5 nm with a pore size distribution centered at 3.8 nm. The vibrational modes allowed in mid-IR and Raman spectra were identified. The intensities ratio of G and D Raman bands (I D/I G = 0.82) characterizes the degree of crystallinity, suggesting that the synthesized mesoporous carbon has semi-graphitic walls. It was carried out that EPR spectrum of CNTs consist of a single wide resonance line (δHpp = 920 Gs) with g = 2,103, which have a shape near to Gaussian. The main contribution in the shape of this line is caused by the interaction between localized magnetic moments including oxygen molecules in the triplet ground state adsorbed on CNTs, for which a weak potential well of depth ∼0.1 eV at a distance of ∼3.0 å between O 2 molecule and CNT is characteristic.
