The analysis is centered on the way in which a novel is made, on the po(i)ethic/ construction of the novel, on the narrative techniques/figures, on the relationship between man and reality (V. Butnaru, O. Serebrian, D. Gutu, I. Iachim), on the increasingly cosmopolitan universe, a universe that no longer appears in a deterministic form; it is seen as a consequence/ incidence, in short, as the fruit of chance. The world jumped off the landline, the playful, the absurd, the artifice, the caricature, the exoticism, the pathological/ the limit of the manifestation of the human being are the signs of experimental prose. Deliberately anticanonic features define the novels of D. Crudu, A. Vakulovski, V. Butnaru, P. Erizanu. The Bessarabian novel tries to get out of provincialism through the ironic metaphysics, through the psychology of the intellectual crisis (usually from the typology of the losers), through the dramatic/ tragic vision of existence. Samples of courageous continuity or rupture with the Romanian tradition, the „seriousness” of the discourse or the cheap playfulness, the thesis, the new common places, the fashionable clichés are discussed; the technique of the diary, the self-referentiality, the literatureization of childhood memories are overworked, the novel still remains disadvantaged by the cult of the storyteller, by the ethical pathos, by the spirit of justice. It disturbs the anachronism of deterministic, evolutionary, rudimentary positivist interpretations, the stylistic monotony. The timid experiments, the modest results, the feeling of déjà-vu are other impediments in the temptation to access the literature of the Center.
