Rezumat

Irrespective of the fever, digestive and respiratory mani-festations, which are common for SARS-CoV-2 infection, issues such as migraine, epilepsy, myalgia and cerebral thrombosis may add up to the clinical picture of Covid-19 disease. The authors present the case of a female adoles-cent who had accused intermittent right hemicrania since the debut of SARS-CoV-2 infection, which had become persistent, in association with nausea and vomiting since the fifth day of quarantine. She was hospitalized in the ninth day since the debut and underwent neuroimaging. This indicated extended cerebral venous thrombosis concerning the transverse sigmoid sinus bilaterally, the confluence of the transverse sinuses and right internal jugular vein. The evolution was favorable under anticoag-ulant and symptomatic treatment. The lab results exclud-ed any other aethiological causes of the cerebral venous thrombosis. Therefore, the authors consider that cerebral thrombosis represents a possible complication of SARS-CoV-2 infection in adolescents.
