Rezumat

Environmental protection policies are regulated at European level. The increase in the amount of waste is a result of industrial processes, but it is also the result of the numerical increase of the population. The article analyzes aspects related to the recycling of municipal waste. The increase in the amount of waste can be an effect of not using the raw materials to the maximum. This would lead to the depletion of natural resources. The article also presents aspects of bio-waste recycling as well as e-waste. Urban development also involves the construction of buildings, but also the demolition of others. These processes result in waste. Thus, the comparative situation of the recovery rate of construction and demolition waste is presented.
