However, there are situations where witnesses and victims may be blackmailed into failing to testify against the suspect or accused person, may be threatened with a change in their statements, or various actions may be taken against them, leading to their own insecurity and may therefore endangers life, health, bodily integrity, morals, etc. of these participants. In the same vein, we will mention the cases when, due to the statements of witnesses, victims or injured parties, not only them, but also those close to them or even their property may suffer. Respectively, the state is obliged to intervene to create security for these participants in the criminal process.
