Rezumat | ||||||
In the last decade, virtually no other branch of the cultural field, not even the tourism sector, has developed and specialized as much or as fast as cultural tourism. It is one of the few growth areas to reflect an important 'megatrend': culture-oriented travel is mainly focused on visiting cultural sites and ethno-cultural events, so that visitors become acquainted with the culture of their own country and also with the cultures of foreign countries. The motivations that lead a person to plan and undertake a trip or holiday are a complex function, with variables ranging from the natural characteristics of the destination to infrastructure and facilities, from historical and cultural value to financial considerations. |
