Rezumat

Taking into consideration that a state has not only the authority over a certain territorial entity, but has a status of international community member, the Sovereignty is usually seen as a concept which facilitates the International Relations. The problem of Sovereignty is considered as a concept that included four different phenomena: domestic Sovereignty, which means the structuring and ordering of the power within state limits; border’s Sovereignty or the Government’s capacity to control abroad trips; international Sovereignty of the state, which presupposes mutual recognition of the states; and the Westphalia Sovereignty, which presupposes the prohibition of external actors’ interference in internal affairs of the of state. The history of the concept “Sovereignty” is close related to the contemporary history of the Europe and reflects the stages of the process of creation of state components.
