Rezumat

Physical education represents the activity of formation-development of the human personality, designed and realized by the full capitalization of the physical and psychic potential in the conditions of the current society. The discipline of physical education is a subject taught in schools, being among the primary objects that encourage the learning of movements in order to promote the health and physical condition of pupils. As a pedagogical process, the lesson of physical education at the secondary cycle is a compulsory basic discipline in the curricular area. It is the indispensable form with the primary purpose of strengthening health, increasing the level of motor and intellectual abilities, harmonious, physical and moral development by training in pupils the skills, knowledge, abilities with which they will operate throughout all educational cycles. The traditional approach to the use of physical education means and methods, namely the use of standard physical education programs in lessons, is not always sufficient to increase the body's functional capacity and the effective development of pupils' motor skills. Currently, there is a process of improving the physical education programs of pupils and the methodology of conducting physical education lessons, respectively, in the context of its inclusion in the National Curriculum in the discipline of physical education for grades V-VII, X-XII (approved by order of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova No. 906 of 17.07.2019). This has led to the inclusion of new sports events, including tourism, which has a major role in the physical development, personality and health of pupils.
