Fungal skin infections are frequently associated with a broad range of pathogens. Isoconazole nitrate is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent with a highly effective antimycotic and gram-positive antibacterial activity. At present, there are many topical pharmaceutical forms with isoconazol that are used for treatment of dermatomycoses. The purpose of the study: to highlight the optimization perspectives of analytical methods and standardization by the analysis of the scientific information about pharmaceutical forms with isoconazol. Materials and methods: meta-analysis of scientific information that were published in thedrug quality standards, medicine journals, specialized periodicals. Results: Very few methods for development and analysis of isoconazole are reported in literature. Isoconazol in pharmaceutical preparation can be identifiedby physico-chemical methods such: thin layer chromatography, gas chromatography, HPLC, IR spectrophotometry etc. However, the literature revealed that no pharmacopoeia method is reported. Most of these methods have been described for the determination of isoconazole were time consuming and expensive, as they require large amounts of reagents. Conclusion: It ‘s considered appropriate to develop new simple, rapid, accurate and practical method for determination of Isoconazol in pharmaceutical preparation. |
