The main purpose of this article is to present children's rights issues reflected in literary and non-literary texts for primary school students. As a result of the experience offered by the activity at the department, in the thirty years, I have noticed an increase in the students' interest in reading, which has children as its main characters. By using different modern, active-participatory methods, they take an interesting part in the debates initiated on issues related to children's rights. The desire to read among primary school students increases especially when they find themselves in the actions of the book read, when they are asked for their opinion and it is taken into account, and the methods used by the teacher encourage them to say what they think. |
