The article focuses on the use of morphonological principlein reference to the spelling of the word küü ‘the village’according to its behaviour as a part of attributive possessive constructions (izafets).On the basis of research results,the spelling küy is proposed.The approach canbe applied to fill some lacunae of Gagauz orthography, solve a number ofproblems and sort out certain difficulties. |
