Rezumat

In this study, some fruit species that have an important production area in Türkiye and are grown in the world were evaluated. The data of 1970 and the data of 2020 were compared. In the evaluations made by considering the FAO data, Türkiye's production, the production amount of the highest producer country, world production, Türkiye's production share in world production were evaluated. While Pistachio increased by 1987 % from 1970 to 2020 in Türkiye, Türkiye meets 26.3% of the world production. While Türkiye meets 27.2% of the world's quince production, 62% of hazelnut production, 25.3% of fig production, 278% of cherry production, in the last fifty years, quince 425%, almonds 695%, strawberries 5534%, hazelnuts 160%, Apricots increased by 777%, cherry by 1128%, mandarin by 2231% and bananas by 5678%. The products in which Türkiye ranks first in world production are Quince, Hazelnut, Fig, Apricot, Cherry; the products in the second place are Pistachio, Watermelon, Melon; third place products are Apple, Mandarin; Walnut, Chestnut, Peach-Nectarine; Pear, Almond, Strawberry, Olive; Dried Tea, Plum, Lemon-Lime, Grape; The fruit in which it ranks seventh is Kiwi. Türkiye ranks 14th in world production with Orange and 24th with Banana.
