Rezumat

The Miniature Roses were first brought to Europe from China, at the beginning of the XVIII-th century (1). They were named in China – Rosa chinesis semperflores, because of their long period of flourishing, and starting with 1910 they begun to cultivate them in flower pots (Rosa rouletti). Basic particularities of the miniature roses that have been noticed: habitus reduced, the decorativeness of the variety, the long period of flourishing, resistance to the illness and pets, the compatibility between graft and mother plant (2). The Miniature Roses are groups of heterogeneous varieties that in our days are more than 200. In the same time when the Miniature Roses were introduced in the Botanical Garden they begun to study them from phonological , biomorphological, biotechnological point of view, that will permit to underline the varieties that correspond to the pedo – climate conditions from Moldova. The collection enumerates 15 varieties and forms of miniature roses of container: Bush Baby, Easter Morning, Pandora, Pink Sunblaze, Red Ace, Red Sunblaze, Starina, Yellow Doll, Blenheim, Fiery Sensation, Norfolc, Suma, Meiland oranj, etc.; 10 for the open area: Evelin Zibergonic, Baby Masquerade, White eyem, June Time, etc., from the groups: Minirosa, Poliantha, Floribunda, Mini-Flora, Patio. The plant material was selected from Poland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, thus from different phitogeographic regions. These are perennial plants, with height of 10-50cm, with a special decoratively, the bushes are compact and with many lives. The varieties of the open areas have the roots specific to the mother plants, those of container – their proper roots that appear after the vegetative multiplication. The shoots are small with short internodes, small lives. The lives are composed of three-five small lives, of different shades of green, which have 2-4,5cm. in length, and wide as 1,5-3cm. The flowers have 2-4cm, solitary, with length of the floral peduncle 5-8 cm, the bud is little long of 2-3 cm, the flower diameter varies from 4-8cm. For some varieties the flowers are concentrated into an inflorescence and the period of flourishing last for 5-10 days. The majority of varieties flourish in masses for along time during the period of vegetation. The Miniature Roses multiply through different ways: division of the bush, grafting, through cutting the shoots, microcloning. The fastest and efficient method is micro cloning, and in compare with traditional methods of the vegetative multiplication of plants has a number of advantages: the work is done in lab conditions during the whole year, permits the multiplication of the varieties that make roots not so easy in normal conditions; we can obtain a maximal number of plants on a small surface; the plants are treated from pests; the possibility of spreading the illnesses are excluded. At the present time there are good results for a number of varieties for the micro cloning and the rizo genesis of the culture “in vitro”. The method of sterilization of the inoculated material was elaborated, the composition of the adequate environment was tested and selected for optimal development for the miniature roses. The statistic results are to be published.
