I consider it necessary and very apropriate to discuss the labor of imprisoned persons in Republic of Moldova because it has some similarities with forced labor.First of all, the imprisoned persons cannot give their consent, so it can be said that they are forced to perform a labor (that they cannot choose) as a part of a punishment given tot them by justice for the committed crime. In this article i tried to explain which are the conditions for the labor of thesentenced persons, the types of labor existed in prison and also i explained such concepts as community services and releasing from punishent befour the given term. Despite all the comitted crimes, the sentenced persons are equal in rights and obligations as other citizens of the Republic of Moldova and this constitutional rights should be known and respected. |
