The involvement of women in entrepreneurial activity remains to be one of the main challenges of countries with a developing economy. Equitable division of household responsibilities between women and men as well as equally involvement in professional and entrepreneurial activity is more a dream than a reality for most women. However, the last 5 years in many developing countries including in the Republic of Moldova, observe a positive trend on women involvement in socio-economic life, including the initiation and development of business. Through the study realized we tried to determine the portrait of women entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova and to identify the reasons for the low involvement of women in entrepreneurship. |
