The existence of a functioning market economy is one of the main conditions a state must meet in order to become a member of the European Union. In this context, the National Bank of Moldova, as the central bank of the state and the National Commission of the Financial Market having specific competences, actively participates in the internal legislative, institutional and functional changes meant to contribute to achievement of the economic criterion of accession to the European Union, thus ensuring a greater approximation of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union. Within the limits of their duties, the respective institutions promote the alignment of the normative framework and its activities with the legislation and best practices of the European Union. |
