Rezumat

The unavailability of quality health care, low-grade food products for the majority elderly people, rising of the tariffs for housing and communal services lead to the fact that a significant part of the social ageinggroup is forced to remain on the labor market.Local and foreign researchers have noted a "new type" of elderly people who have a high professional and educational training; their health and earning capacity differ by the higher rates in comparison with the previous generations, and the orientations shift toward the creative settings. It follows that retirement does not necessarily represent the cessation of economic activity.
