The results of long times investigation of the genetics and breeding of amilopectinous maze demonstrated the possibility to create the new inbred lines with higher combining ability and competitive hybrids waxy-1 maize in order to improve the production and quality of starch in grains. The initial material collection for maize breeding included more than 175 inbred lines. The new highly productive amilopectinous maize hybrids - Chishinau 295 wx1;y1 and Chishinau 335 wx1;y1 -was regionalized in the Republic of Moldova, which are broadly characterized by its important traits. |
