În articol sunt prezentate direcţiile prioritare privind dezvoltarea învăţământului la disciplina Fizica în Ucraina. Se propune o paradigmă privind organizarea învăţământului la disciplina Fizica în cadrul ariei curriculare Ştiinţe. O direcţie prioritară este formarea competenţelor din perspectiva educaţiei centrate pe elev. Este prezentată o analiză privind rezultatele la fizică în Ucraina în cadrul investigaţiei internaţionale TIMSS. Sunt evidenţiate punctele tari, punctele slabe şi perspectivele modernizării învăţământului la disciplina Fizică în Ucraina.

In the article, the problem of the improvement of the content of teaching Physics at the comprehensive educational institutions in correspondence to the contemporary educational paradigm is studied. The results of the analytical research on the content of the educational area “Natural Studies”, its physical components which was conducted by the scholars of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine were analyzed. The principal trends in the modernization of the content of the school natural studies education are defined, and the tools of this process assurance are specified. In particularly, the study covers the improvement of the competence-based approach in the formation of the education content as well as the formulation of the requirements to their comprehension by the pupils of the secondary schools, the specification of each subject contribution in the key competences formation, the focus of the content of the school Physical education on the formation of the Natural Sciences competence of the pupils of secondary schools.
