The cultural heritage represents an important source of knowledge of the past, of inspiration, of values and of identity. The archaeological heritage did not beneficiate from a legal framework and has been treated together with other types of monuments. Three sets of national legislation have been identifi ed which refer directly or indirectly to the archaeological heritage: the protection of historic-cultural monuments; protection of the environment and natural resources; construction and development. The article approaches aspects related to the definition of the archaeological heritage, the regime of property, protection and responsibility for the break of law.

Культурное наследие является важным источником знаний о прошлом, вдохновения, ценностей, а также идентичности. Наряду с другими типами памятников, археологическое наследие было включено в общее законодательство. Были выявлены три категории законов, которые относятся к археологическому наследию: охрана историко-культурных памятников, охрана природы и природных ресурсов, строительство и развитие. В статье были затронуты вопросы определения aрхеологического наследия, режима собственности, охраны и ответственности за нарушение законов об охране памятников.
