Rezumat

This article examines the factors of influence of e-commerce on the consumer in modern world. I have identified the motives that drive consumers when they make a purchase. The advantages and disadvantages for modern consumers have been discovered and presented in this article. As a result of the study, data on sales in the e-commerce segment in some leading countries and in our republic were found and studied. The analysis revealed the impact of this type of commerce in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the past two decades, consumers have increasingly used the Internet as a vehicle to inform or directly purchase products or services. This is due to the rapid development of information and communication technologies. And this development has reached such proportions that each of us has purchased a product or service online at least once in our life. Having studied the main aspects of the influence of e-commerce on consumers and the motives that drive them when making purchases in the Internet space, we can conclude that the level of influence of this type of commerce is quite high.
