Touristic villages have to decide not only how many tourists they want to attract and how to combine the
tourism with other activity sectors, but as well what kind of tourists they want to welcome. Rural economic agents
have to know who are their real and potential clients and their needs, what are the products, services and programs
matching this market. There are few methods of target markets determination. Therefore we need to perform some
actions:
- to establish the tourist native country;
- the reason of their visit;
- their demographic characteristics;
- whether they are satisfied with the rendered services or no;
- how many of them will come again;
- how much they spend;
In order to attract new tourists we can make use of the second method, which means to monitor the elements of
touristic attractions. Finally, summing up the touristic attractions with the clients’ characteristics and the targeted
advantages we can define the potential clients’ categories that are to be attracted. |
