Specific to contemporary society is the process of change in curriculum, teaching strategies, assessment methods and human resources involved. In this context, the requirements for the teaching profession are diverse and challenging, and for the teacher it is recommended to show flexibility, receptivity to change as well as critical reflection. We consider that the maximum development of the students' potential is largely determined by the quality of the teachers' performance. Continuous teacher training can help increase students' academic achievement. Knowing, being able and being motivated to plan, to anticipate the educational action, in a structured and optimistic way, with a positive and motivating orientation, become important landmarks for obtaining professionally effective results by teachers. Personal and professional development starts from self-knowledge, from the identification of personal and professional goals. As a person evolves in a field of activity he will develop a frame of reference, which will involve: specific work skills, areas of competence in which he can achieve performance, specific objectives of evolution, motivations, needs, desires, values. The article presents the design of a training program for teachers based on the message sent by the promoters of constructivist paradigms that highlights the important role of the learner, considering him a builder of his own knowledge. Thus, the contents approached by the Instructional Design: Methodical Approaches program support the need of teachers to learn /know how to achieve, at a higher quality level, a constructive activity for their students. |
