The purpose of this study is to present medico-legal data of the drowning death in the Republic of Moldova, related to the rate, the frequency and territorial particularities. Drowning is the fourth cause of violent death in the Republic of Moldova and accounting for 6,96 cases per 100.000 population. The highest number of drownings is happening in districts located near the large rivers and the lowest number – in the large cities, where other causes of death are common. |
